Stacey Dash runs for Congress in California

Clueless star Stacey Dash just put a stop to her social life, or at least, what it used to be, after recently submitting the necessary paperwork with the Federal Election Commission to run as a Republican during this November’s election cycle. Her slogan of choice is “Dash to DC”. She has also listed her website at

Stacy Dash’s choice to run for Congress in California should not come as that big of a shock. She has already hinted at her decision earlier this month alluding to it via a number of tweets. In one of her tweets, she uploaded an image that said: “Paid for by the D2DC ‘ Testing the Waters’ Committee.”

D2DC, of course, if we can fancy a guess, should stand for Dash to DC, which is her slogan for her campaign.

At around the same time, the former FOX contributor and political commentator had already tweeted about the possibility of her running for political office. Case in point, on February 9, she tweeted, “A number of people online and off have suggested I run for political office. I wanted to see what my online community thinks of this idea as I mull the possibilities. Thoughts?”

With her decision, Dash will go up against Democratic incumbent Representative Nanette Barragan. The district encompasses parts of South Los Angeles and the Los Angeles Harbor region including the San Pedro and Compton areas of Los Angeles.

During the 2016 presidential election, then-President Candidate was the heavy favorite in the district. The former first lady won the said district by a 70-percent margin.
