Heather Locklear Arrested for Battery

Deputies from the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office arrested Heather Locklear last February 25 at her Westlake Village home after a domestic violence report. Aside from domestic violence, the Melrose Place actor was also charged with three counts of battery of emergency personnel. The Ventura County Sheriff’s Department released Locklear on bail and she is scheduled to appear in court on March 13.

When the deputies arrived at the scene, Locklear was uncooperative. They also said that there was evidence that Locklear physically abused her boyfriend, which made it a felony offense.

Officials from the sheriff’s office said that Locklear pushed, shouted, and kicked at deputies who responded to a report that she had been violent with her reported boyfriend. No domestic violence charges were filed with the court.

Authorities got a search warrant for Locklear’s home after she made threats during her arrest. Deputies said that she threatened to shoot them if they came to her house again. After an investigation, police found out she owns a registered firearm. They executed a search warrant to find the gun at her home but they failed to find it during the search.

Heather Locklear became popular for her roles on TV series Spin City and Melrose Place. She was married twice – Richie Sambora of Bon Jovi from 1986 to 1993 and Tommy Lee of Motley Crue from 1994 to 2007. The 56-year-old has a history of substance abuse and entered rehab last year. She was charged with DUI in 2008 but the charges were dropped in exchange for a $700 fine, driver safety classes, and informal probation of three years.
